| Q Do I rent the accommodation first or book my airline tickets first?
A If you decide on one of our properties we will hold the property for you for 72 hours without obligation to give you time to arrange flights. When you have arranged your flight and paid the deposit the booking will then be confirmed. Q How do I pay? Deposit and balance payment A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total rental is required to secure your booking, This can be deposited into the property owners bank account in the UK. The balance is required 12 weeks before your booking date. If your booking is made within 12 weeks from your arrival, then full payment will be required. Your booking is only confirmed upon receipt of your deposit payment. At which time you will receive an email which will state that your deposit has been received and your booking is confirmed. Payment can be made through, TT (telegraphic transfer) or by cash or cheque. Q Do I receive written confirmation of booking and payments? A Yes. On receipt of your deposit we will e-mail or fax your confirmation, the same procedure will apply on receipt of the balance. Q Do I have to pay a damage deposit? A Some properties do and some don't, we will let you know when you book. We accept minor accidents are going to happen, all we ask is on your departure you leave us a note so we can replace the items for our next guests. Any other damage we would ask you to inform us as soon as possible and we would negotiate an amicable outcome. Q What happens if there is a problem with the accommodation? A Our property manager is on call (24/7) at all times and you will be supplied with his mobile phone number.. Q What do we need to bring with us for the accommodation? A All bed linen, hand and bath towels are supplied. We ask that you bring your own beach towels and do not use the accommodation towels at the pool or on the beach. Q How do I get from the airport to the property? A We can arrange airport transfers to and from Paphos and Larnaca airports at reasonable prices. We will ask you if you want to book an airport transfer when you book your accommodation. Q How do I get the keys for the property? A We will meet you on your arrival in Paphos, and give you the keys to your rental property. Q Can you arrange car hire, cruises, and sightseeing trips and can you suggest places to see. A Yes. We can arrange car hire, when you arrive we will help you. If you are interested in any trips we can always help you with information. Q Can I use my electrical appliances in Cyprus? A Yes. All our accommodations are fitted with UK style 3 pin plugs so you can use phone chargers etc. with no problem. Q What is the cost of living like in Cyprus? A The cost of living is lower than in the UK and Europe unless you buy imported food and drink. You can go to a local taverna and have a Meze (about 15/20 dishes served all evening) for €15 per person, 3 course set menus are very good value and about €15 per person. In the supermarket you can buy a litre of the local spirits for €5 approx or a large bottle of local beer for €1, A bottle of wine starts at €2 and a good bottle is €5 approx. Petrol is also very reasonably priced. Q Will we have any language problems? A No everybody in the towns and tourist areas speak good English. The only time you might have a problem is in the villages in the mountains but generally you can get by . Q Where do I change money in Cyprus? A The best places are the banks, there are banks everywhere in Cyprus and the opening times are Monday to Friday 9a.m. till 1.30p.m. (Please note the currency of Cyprus is now the Euro.) Q What is the currency in Cyprus? A The currency is Euro and cents, there is approx. 1 euro 20 cents to an English pound. |
